summerland

A few highlights from last weekend's hike. We did part of the Wonderland trail, which is an extended backpacking trail that circles all of Mt Rainier Nat Park. We actually hiked out to the highest part of the trail- ~12 mile round trip finishing at 7000+ ft above sea level

Past summerland on the way to Panhandle Gap. Little glacial pond is pretty murky and ugly, huh?


View from ridgeline where we turned around. here you see mt. Adams in the distance. Saw some mountain goats from here too.


we stopped to wade in an icy stream running straight out of the snow- it was a hot day!- and to pose for a pic or two.
