Hayden had his 2 month checkup yesterday at the doctor. He weighed in at 11 pounds 6 ounces (50th percentile) and was 23 3/4 inches long (90th percentile). His growth is clearly going towards his length! His head had also grown almost 2cm. He seems to progressing just as expected and hitting all of his developmental milestones right on target. We are so proud of how well he is doing!
He also received his first round of vaccines. After much deliberation, we decided to adhere to the schedule recommended by the American Academy of Pediatrics. He received 3 shots and 1 oral vaccine. He was a real trooper and cried a lot less than we expected. The whole experience pretty much knocked him out and he slept for the rest of the evening. He did carry a low grade fever and we gave him a dose of infant tylenol when his fever spiked at 100.8. Since then he has slowly been returning to his normal self. Although sore, he was able to give us some smiles this morning and play on his mat.
