This past weekend August 6th-9th we traveled to Charleston, South Carolina for my friend Tiffany's wedding. It was Hayden's longest car ride yet and we split the trip up by stopping in Georgia for the night to stay with my parents on the way there. They joined us for the weekend and helped watch Hayden while I participated in wedding and bridesmaid festivities!
It was a beautiful wedding and I had a lot of fun catching up with my college girlfriends. Hayden joined us for the reception Saturday evening and seemed to really enjoy all of the extra attention.
On Sunday we headed to Folly Beach just outside of Charleston. It was a cute little beach town with only 1 hotel and several local restaurants and shops. We spent the day lounging around the oceanfront pool and beach! Hayden had a comfy spot under the shade of a cabana with his pappaw and daddy. He was quite happy with the ocean breeze keeping him cool in the shade. We all relaxed and then went to a yummy dinner on the pier where we enjoyed some live music and delicious local seafood.
Monday morning we took Hayden down to the beach to dip his feet in the sand and ocean water. The water was super warm and he seemed to really like the squishy sand on his toes. It was a perfect little mini-vacation!
