Welcome to the world little guy! You were perfectly content waiting until exactly two days after your due date to make your arrival...on your momma's 33rd birthday! What a gift you are! He weighed in at 8 pounds 7 ounces and was 21.5 inches long.
His arrival was the quickest of the three kiddos, although I wouldn't say it was the easiest. Henley takes the cake for the easiest delivery! There's not much to his birth story except that the delivery nurses didn't quite believe how close he was to arriving considering my ob didn't make it in time. As I got closer to pushing it became obvious that they were trying to stall us...not fun when you are attempting to go through the labor process naturally. I became impatient and they realized we were serious. They woke up the doctor on call at the hospital and about 5 minutes later... baby Huddy was in my arms!
He's been a perfect sweet pea so far! Observant, beautiful, and snuggly! He loves to sleep during the day and stay up all night. We are hoping he gets his days and nights straightened out before we become too sleep deprived.
Hayden and Henley are so proud of their new brother, Hayden especially! He keeps thanking me for giving him a brother...so sweet! He's been gentle and considerate and so loving towards Hudson. This is all very surprising considering his rough and tumble personality. Henley is very concerned about his crying and wants to pat him nice and hard on the head. Other than that he hasn't really phased her so far. She kisses him and hugs him and then moves on to playing!
We haven't quite figured out how to manage all three yet and are so thankful for the help we've had from both sides of the family during this transition period! I have a feeling our new "normal" is going to be slightly chaotic for awhile, but we are embracing it with a feeling of joy and overwhelming love! That and lots of noise, a messier house, and a lot less sleep ;) !!!
Here are a few of our favorite pictures so far!!
