Friday, we camped at Crescent lake. A really great lake. Refreshing!
Saturday we headed out to the far northwest corner of park (and state, oh and the lower 48). This area is part of the Makah tribe's reservation. First, we did a hike out to Cape Flattery, which is the most northwestern point and has a view of Tatoosh Island and bunch of sea caves and seastacks, birds, etc.
After Cape Flattery, we headed to Shi Shi Beach. This involved a backpack in through some rainforest to reach the beach. At the beach we saw some great views, and hiked down to the point of the arches, which is a bunch of seastacks and rocks that have a series of arches carved into them by the waves. We had a great afternoon and night camping on the beach. We woke up to steady rain and had the joy of packing up and hiking back out in the muck! See note below on point of the arches.
At point of the arches, we got the suprising treat of seeing some whales- we think orcas (killer whales) based on the big dorsal fin we saw come out of the water. In this picture, if you look closely, you might be able to see the spouting cloud of water of a whale coming up to breath. Look just to the left of the smaller rock that's sticking out of the water near the middle of the picture.

hey dude. awesome pics, all around. i have hiked this beach before... did not see whales, but some others in my group did. sweet!
Looks like you found an awesome hike and camp spot. The lake and mountains are sweet. Good looking underwear ! BS
