Scrobnation Visits Seattle

Good ole Scrob made the trek from ATL to visit over the weekend. We had a sweet mtbr trip down near mountain Rainier. We did a ride along the White River called Skookum Flats on Friday (highlighted by some huge old growth forest. We camped by the river Friday night and then did an epic 22 miler on Saturday. This ride was brutally tiring but really fun with great views. It started with a 5 mile climb with an immediate elevation gain of 2700 ft to Coral Pass. We then cruised through some alpine meadows, leading to the winding path back down to the White River Valley below. One section traversed along the Pallisades- a huge rock face with a vertical drop of a ~2000 to the valley below. My legs need a couple of days to recover, but great fun biking and on the whole trip Scrob! Here are some pics from the trail...
